Day-by-day Itinerary:

Day 1, Hanoi – Vu linh, 180 km, 5hr ride, home stay

Leaving Hanoi, we ride up to the North of the country by taking a small road going along the Red river dike. Enjoy the Red river scenery as we ride through country and extensive farming lands comprising a sea of paddy fields split by tree-lined roads. Meet the daily life in the wild environment. Lunch at a local restaurant in Viet Tri or Doan Hung Town. Arrive in Vu linh in late afternoon, here we stay overnight with our friends of the Dao’s minority in a traditional stilt house.

Day 2, Vulinh – Ha Giang, 180 km, Home stay, 5 hr ride

Ha Giang, 300 km away from Hanoi, located at the highest latitude in Vietnam. It is surrounded by Cao Bang, Tuyen Quang, Lao Cai, and Yen Bai. It shares a border with China in the north. Many ethnic minorities, including the Dao, H’mong, Tay, and Nung, live in Ha Giang province Vietnam.

Beautiful ride today along the Thac Ba lake, during your way, you will have chances to visit many roadside ethnic villages. Lunch in Tuyen Quang town. Continue our ride to Ha Giang for overnight in a family.

Day 3,Ha Giang – Dong Van – Mèo Vac, 180km, 2 stars standard hotel 

Dong Van Town is located in the heart of Dong Van Rock Plateau, which was recognized as part of the Global Geo-Park Network last year, the Dong Van old quarter is home to age old and unique architecture near Ha Giang Province’s border with China.

Today’s ride must be highlights of the trip as we will visit one of the most remote land in Vietnam where are special with many ethnic groups with their unique cultures and imposing mountains – the “Heaven Gate” in Quan Ba, Rock Plateau and the Vuong palace in Dong Van. Ma Pi Leng Pass. Arrive in Meo vac town in the late afternoon.

Day 4, Meo Vac – Ba Be, 180km, 6hr ride. Home-stay.

After breakfast, We leave Meo Vac for Ba Be. The scenic route climbs over many Passes where we can enjoy beautiful mountain ranges and the Nho Que river – Just an amazing place to be, Lunch in a local restaurant in Bao Lac, After 30 km riding on paved road after Bao Lac, we will take a small beautiful trail going thought the jungle, we ride across many streams and river, a great day for off-road ride. Continue to Babe lake where the landscape is amazing and the home stay is another unique experience. Dinner and overnight in home stay of a Tay family.

Day 5, Visit Ba Be – ride to Hanoi.

Ba Be is Vietnam’s largest natural lake and is now the centerpiece of an extensive National Park. The park and the surrounding area is limestone country, so lakes, waterfalls, caves and unusual rock formations abound. The whole area is richly forested and home to many ethnic minority communities.

After visiting a local market (if on the market day), we take a boat trip to discover the Lake of Babe and its National Park.

After the boat trip, we farewel to Babe national Park. Back to our ride, Staying off the main road for as long as possible we head back towards the Red River Delta, passing through areas inhabited by Hmong, Dao, Tay and Nung minority peoples. A mixture of both challenging track and glorious sealed road all the way back to Hanoi.

Day 6: Hanoi – Flight To Hue..

AM: Transfer to airport for a short flight to Hue.  Arrival time: ……

PM: motor tour to visit Royal tombs and countryside in Hue.

Day 7 : Hue – DMZ tunnels in Quang Tri (Full day) (B)

After breakfast . We depart to visit the historic DMZ in Quang Tri ( 100km North of Hue)

Upon arrival, we visit the Vinh Moc Tunnels – Vinh Moc (Vịnh Mốc) is a tunnel complex in Quảng Trị, Vietnam. During the Vietnam War it was strategically located on the border of North Vietnam and South Vietnam, on the North Vietnamese side. The tunnels were built to shelter people from the intense bombing of Son Trung and Son Ha communes in Vinh Linh county of Quảng Trị Province in the Vietnamese Demilitarized Zone. ,

Hien Luong Bridge: This bridge is located in 17th Parallel and in Vietnam War, it was bisected between South Vietnam and North Vietnam

Old Citadel of Quang Tri: The citadel located in an enclosed area of about two square kilometers had to endure the velocity of bombing and artillery explosion which was equal to eight times the velocity of the atomic bomb dropped by the US in Hiroshima in Japan in 1954.

Day 8: Hue  – Hoi An.  (B,)

AM: After Breakfast, Our Guide will take you to visit the Old Citadel of Hue: The Citadel Complex of Hue, set up by Nguyen Dynasty from 1805 to 1945, is now one amongst the relics of the Hue ancient Capital – theWorld Cultural Heritage, capturing much of tourists’ attention.

Farewel to Hue we ll have 4 hour road trip to

to Hoi an (150km). Check in Hotel and relax.

Day 9: Hoi An  Cham Island. (B,)

Cham Island, with its cool climate, clean white sand beaches, transparent water and plentiful protected marine habitatshas attracted many tourists recently. The Cham Archipelago (Cu Lao Cham) in the East Sea, 10 nautical miles from Cua Dai Beach, .

We get transferred by shared – tourist boat to island. Enjoy the snorkelling (or Scuba Diving – optional).

Day 10: Hoi An. (B)

AM: Breakfast in the hotel then you have free time to  walk in town to visit highlights of Charming Old quarter in Hoi An: Old house, Museum, Japanese cover bridge, Chinese temple…( Sightseeing tickets on your own.)

And at your leisure for dress making and shopping around. O/N in hotel.

Day 11: Hoi An – Danang Airport for Flight to SiemReap. . (B,)

After breakfast in the hotel, you will get transferred to Airport for a flight to Siemreap.                                                                                

Day 12 :  Siemreap – visit Angkor.

Free to visit Angkor temple on your own.

Day 13: Afternoon Flight for departure.

Transfer to airport for your departure..

1 – Confirmation

As per our company policy, booking will only be confirmed on receipt of advance deposit.

  • Tour package: 20%
  • Single travel service such as car rental, air tickets bookings or hotel reservations: 100%

2 – Deposit and Payment

Deposit can be settled by cash or wire transfer 90 days at least before the departure. The balance can be paid by cash, travelers’ checques or credit cards upon your arrival in Vietnam. If payment is made by other mean than cash such as traveler’s cheques, credit cards or via Western Union… bank charges will be for sender.

3 – Amendment

There is no fee for any change or amendment you make prior to your final confirmation. Otherwise, amendment or cancellation fees may may be charged (subject to Asian Lotus Travel’s supplier policy). Because we will launch the booking reservation immediately after we receive your final confirmation and starting from that point, service’s amendment/cancellation fees may be applied by our local service providers such as hotel, restaurants, airlines companies…

Please note that we will not charge you any fee if our service providers do not charge us.

4 – Cancellation

Asian LotusTravel must be informed in writing. Cancellation charges would be effective from the date we receive advice in writing and cancellation charges would be applied as follows:

  • From 90 days to 45 days:         20% of the total tour/service costs
  • From 45 days to 15 days:         50% of the total tour/service costs
  • From 14 day to departure:  100% of the total tour/service costs

5 – Responsibility

The detailed programme and schedule flights are subject to change by airlines companies without prior notice and in accordance with the weather conditions and daily operations flights. Consequently, itinerary concerned might be adjusted. If this occurs, however that it is done as a courtesy to participants and Asian Lotus Travel can not be held responsible for denied boarding, nor for additional costs occurred.

  • Travel Insurance. All persons are expected to arrange their own insurance. We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance from home. Polices should cover any potential risks involved in your holiday.
  • Beverage and alcoholic drinks.
  • Personal expenditure such as telephone, laundry, shopping and any other services not clearly mentioned on.
  • Hotel in Hanoi.
