Day 1: Hanoi – Mai Chau, homestay (B,D) 160km,
We leave busy life of Hanoi behind and travel on highway 06 to North West of Vietnam. The ride will bring us on Rd 06 and small road through villages to Mai Chau.
Upon arrival, we check in Stilt house of White Thai People and explore the scenic village and culture around.
Dinner and enjoy the Local Performance by Thai girls and Boys. O.N on Stilt House.
Day 2: Mai Chau – Phù Yên. 170km (B,D)
We back track on the main a few kilometres before embarking on a new road which drops down the side of a huge valley, steadily falling all the way back down to the Da River Reservoir. The 50 kilometres route has plenty of challenging surface and is prone to landslides. Much of the area is inhabited by Kinh and both Black and White Thai ethnic groups. Depending on time we can complete another side road which rises up the opposite side of the valley, offering impressive views over the area on a clear day. Just before the reservoir we breach a final steep ascent and pass by communes of Dao people, before the descent to the banks of the reservoir and a ferry crossing. Once across we follow the banks of the reservoir past village all relocated before the flooding of the valley. On easy dirt road we approach the delta settlement of Phu Yen, set in the middle of a vast valley floor of paddy fields. Overnight in Phu Yen.Dinner then O.N in hotel.
Day 3: Phù Yên – Tú Lệ – Mu Cang Chai , Homestay of Thai people (B,D) 160km
We have a mountainous road day to ride, the first part from Phu Yen to Ba Khe via Lung Lo pass is track and the rest is sealed road. after lucnh, we continue the ride through the rural areas with beautiful rice fields along the beautiful road that lead up to Mu Cang Chai. We go through the Mu Cang Chai massif, one of the highest mountain pass in Vietnam, from the top of this pass, we have one of the most beautiful views of North Vietnam. Overnight in hotel. ( O.N could be in Mu Cang Chai ( Homestay) or Hotel in Than Uyen)
Day 4: Mu Cang Chai – Than Uyen – Sapa, , hotel. (B,D) 120km
We have nice ride along valley and passing some developing towns Phong Tho, Lai Chau, Tam Duong…then spectacular road up O Qui Ho pass to get in to Sapa town.
Check in Hotel and relax.
Day 5: Rest day in Sapa. Hotel. (B,)
Whole day to discover the area of Sapa.
AM: Take a walking tour to local village of Black Hmong or Dzay. ( Motorbiking is optional)
PM: Free to explore the town. O/N in hotel.
Day 6: Sapa – Hà Giang .. hotel. (B,D) 180km
We leave Sapa town in the morning, and go on with our ride to Pho Rang ( Bao Yen) then Rd 279 to Viet Quang then To Ha Giang. Enjoy the scenic road and countryside along the ride.
Check in hotel and Dinner in town
Day 7: Ha Giang – Meo Vac.. Hotel. (B,D) 170km
AM: After Breakfast, we leave Ha Giang city and start going up hill and enjoy the Karst Plateau. The road leads us along high rocky mountain, spectacular valleys, villages of H’Mong, Lo Lo, Ha Nhi… people on the way. Visit the Palace of H’Mong King, take a great view of Nho Que river before going down to Meo Vac town. Check in Hotel and Dinner.
Day 8: Meo Vac – Ba Be Lake. homestay,(B,D) 190km
Leaving Meo Vac, we ride along the mountain range of Song Gam ( Gam River). We go on the ride to Ba Be, some sections of the road are still under construction. Having Lunch on the way then continue small road to Ba Be. Check in local homestay of the Tay people by the lake.
Day 9: Ba Be Lake Boat trip – Cao Bang. (B,D) ( 130km)
AM: Breakfast in Homestay, then take a 3 hr boat ride ( Motorbike on Boat too) to enjoy the nature of Ba Be lake. We will finish in Buoc Lom pier, re start our ride to Cao Bang.
PM: We reach Cao Bang City, Check in Hotel near Market. Free to explore the market before dinner. Cao Bang is sparsely populated. It has several ethnic communities in villages hardly affected by tourism. Cao Bang is famous for its graceful mountains, grottos and streams. Arrive in Cao Bang city in the afternoon,
Day 10: Cao Bang – Ban Gioc Waterfall – Quang Uyen. ( 160km) ( B,D)
We leave Cao Bang in the morning, enjoy the ride on nice and scenic roads, Stop to visit village of Black Smith of the Nung people – Phuc Sen. Continue the road to Ban Gioc Water fall, enjoy the view from Truc Lam Pagoda ( Optional) then visit the waterfall. If time permit, we can visit Nguom Ngao cave – a beautiful cave in Cao Bang.
Take a ride back to Quang Uyen along Quay Son river ( Border of China and Vietnam).
Afternoon, We reach to Quang Uyen, Check in the homestay for a night stay with the Nung people.
Day 11: Quang Uyen – Lang Son – Visit Cave or market in Lang Son. (B,D) (130km)
Today we go back to Indochina time by driving the famous Colonial Road No.4, where we pass villages like Dong Khe and That Khe. This place is well-known for its countless bloody fights during the 1950s between Viet Minh and the French Force. In the afternoon, we arrive in Lang Son city and discover the central market. This market offers divers Chinese products as Lang Son is the trade-gateway between China and Viet Nam. Before checking in our hotel in Lang Son, (we take an interesting visit to big local market or Tam Thanh / Nhi Thanh grottos.)
Day 12: Lang Son – Ha Long city. Finish motorbiking. (B,D)(180km)
Ride to Halong bay through the lush of Red River vegetation. Arrival in Halong City, Farewell to our motorbikes and load them to the truck.
Check in Hotel, Relax and Explore the area. O.N in hotel.
Day 13: Halong Bay Overnight Cruise. (B,L,D)
AM: Relax and enjoy early market.
Check out at 11h00. Get transferred to the Boat pier, Welcome on board, and check-in registration, board our boat for a stunning cruise amongst towering limestone backdrop while enjoying lunch on board. The cruise will take you by exotic islets with shapes of Dog, Incense Urn, Sail, Fighting Cocks, which are naturally formed by process of erosion between the see water and limestone mountains. Enjoy the kayaking to explore the spectarcular beauty of Halong Bay.

Day 14: Halong Bay – Hanoi by Bus. (B,L)
A new day wake you up with joys and emotions in an early morning for watching sunrise on sea.
Breakfast, then take a visit to one of the biggest caves in the bay. Back to our boat for check out. Lunch on boat before we get back to harbour for a 4 hour bus ride to Hanoi. Check in Hotel. End of service.
